Gaelic Games is an amateur sport with pure talent and skill driving it forward. Now it’s time to take a moment to celebrate our EGG hero’s.
It’s this talent and skill from our incredible coaches that brings Experience Gaelic Games to life. The EGG coaches are the perfect example of the heart and soul of Gaelic Games. Their passion for coaching captures the essence of the Gaelic Games experience. Through Gaelic Games they bring our visitors to the heart of Irish Souls.
But today, we want to give a shout out their off-pitch achievements. Their dedication, teamwork and communication skills on the field have served them well off field!
For example, Donal Burke, a Dublin County and Na Fianna Senior hurler, known for his understated Gaelic skills with a dash of brilliance always welcomes our EGG guests with the best smile. But off duty, this high achiever recently walked away with a 1st in Accounting and Finance from DCU and is now studying a master’s degree. The struggle is real, but he manages it with great ease – just like his hurling skills! These skills obviously run in the family as we now have three Burke brothers’ part of the Senior Na Fianna hurling squad.
Then we have Paul O’Dea. Don’t let the laid-back approach fool you. A Senior Hurler and club man to the core with more hip operations and physio than the rest of the team put together! This bionic man has just completed his master’s earning a 1st. Gaelic Games and Na Fianna run deep in the O’Dea family with his mum Anne, voted Club Person of the Year in GAA a couple of years ago.
The EGG coaches prove that Gaelic Games on and off field pursuits are inextricably intertwined, both professionally and personally. From visitor to visitor and generation to generation we are so thankful to have the EGG crew bringing Ireland’s cultural heritage to life.
Thanks for your dedication and we always burst with pride at your achievements.
