Marching Mizzou Experience Gaelic Games

This March during St Patrick’s day week we had the pleasure to welcome the marching band from the University of Missouri also known as Marching Mizzou. We introduced over 300 of their students to our native games Hurling and Gaelic football.

Eager to embrace the essence of Irish sporting heritage, they dove headfirst in to the exhilarating world of Gaelic Football and Hurling under the expert guidance of our seasoned coaches. The students embraced the knowledge of their coaches as they tried to navigate their skills in our native games.

Following on from the sports side of things, we were privileged to be able to see them rehearse live ahead of their appearance in the St Patrick’s Day parade in Dublin. Ready to take to the streets of Dublin and captivate audiences with their electrifying performance in the St. Patrick’s Day parade. As they marched alongside lively dancers, their infectious energy united us all in a celebration of Irish culture and heritage.

For Experience Gaelic Games, welcoming the University of Missouri Marching Band was more than just an event – it was a celebration of tradition, friendship, and the enduring power of cultural exchange. As St. Patrick’s Week drew to a close, we were left with cherished memories and a renewed appreciation for the rich tapestry of experiences that unite us all.
