St Patrick’s Weekend Special at Experience Gaelic Games
To accommodate those who have made a special effort to join us here in Dublin we’ve a St Patrick’s weekend special to celebrate our national holiday.
We’re running an open public session on Saturday 16th March commencing at 2pm in Na Fianna in Glasnevin. This is your chance to learn to “Play before you parade”
It will be a great afternoon. The three and half hour session will include an introduction to Gaelic Football, Hurling and Handball.
Don’t worry it won’t be too strenuous. We don’t want to zap all your energy as you’ll need some to join the parade and party on the big day on Sunday 17th!
The St Patrick’s weekend special will be open to all age groups. Families will be very welcome. Places are limited so early booking is advisable .
Cost is €30 per person. The only qualification required is a willingness to go Native for the day and have some serious fun!!!

And there’s more for the Weekend!
Once you’ve got a flavour of the games and after you’ve finished parading on Sunday – don’t forget St Patrick’s day is a massive day for Gaelic Games.
Down the road in Croke Park, the headquarters of Gaelic Games, the last four in the national club competitions battle for the prestigious titles of senior Club All Ireland Champions in Hurling and Football.
It’s a privilege to attend these matches. They are unique occasions where pride and passion are displayed in equal measure both on and off the field of play. There is no better place to be on St Patrick’s Day then in Croke Park – particularly if your club and locality is represented!
As Dubs – we’d have to wish the very best to Ballymun Kickhams from Dublin – who’ll be in the Football final –
C’mon the mun – Do it for the Dubs!
